True All-Over Printing — Print, Cut & Sew
Unlike conventional T-shirt decoration, our all-over dye-sublimation process begins with printing the design onto polyester fabric before the shirt is assembled.
The printed fabric is then cut into individual front, back, and sleeve panels and sewn together to create the finished garment.
This process provides extensive design coverage and allows detailed photographs, colorful illustrations, patterns, gradients, lettering, and logos to become part of the fabric.
Because the ink is transferred into the polyester fibers, the finished print remains comfortable and flexible without a heavy printed surface.
Minor variations in artwork placement and alignment across sewn seams are normal with custom cut-and-sew apparel.

Artwork Requirements
We accept PDF, AI, EPS, PSD, TIFF, PNG, and JPG artwork files.
For best results, submit high-resolution designs at their required production dimensions, preferably 150–300 DPI.
Vector files are recommended for logos, lettering, player names, and numbers. Print-ready artwork should be prepared on our downloadable youth garment templates, with important graphics positioned within the safe print areas.

AI-Generated Artwork Is Accepted
Have a shirt design created with AI image-generation tools? We accept AI-generated graphics for custom all-over sublimation printing.
Submit the highest-resolution version available and make sure you have permission to reproduce the supplied design elements.
AI-generated artwork can contain distorted lettering, incomplete backgrounds, or missing details. Our team can assist with image enhancement, artwork reconstruction, and garment template preparation.

How to Measure:
- Body Length: Measured from the highest shoulder point to the finished back hem.
- Chest Width: Measured across the garment, one inch below the armhole, while laid flat.

Accepted Artwork Files
We accept PDF, AI, EPS, PSD, TIFF, PNG, and JPG files.
- Recommended resolution: 150–300 DPI at actual production size.
- RGB and CMYK artwork are accepted.
- Vector files are recommended for logos, names, numbers, and lettering.
- Convert fonts to outlines when submitting editable vector artwork.
- Do not include crop marks or unnecessary printer registration marks.
- Avoid screenshots or low-resolution images whenever possible.
Artwork Templates & Safe Areas
Print-ready artwork must be prepared using the youth garment templates available under the Templates tab.
- Prepare artwork for the front, back, and sleeve panels as required.
- Keep important text, logos, faces, and numbers within the designated safe print areas.
- Extend backgrounds to the boundaries indicated on the template.
- Do not add unnecessary bleed outside the supplied template dimensions.
- Avoid placing critical graphics across collars, seams, and sleeve connections.
Customers without production-ready artwork may select our artwork preparation services.
Color Reproduction
Our youth all-over shirts are printed using full-color dye-sublimation on polyester fabrics.
- Exact Pantone or custom color matching cannot be guaranteed.
- Printed colors may differ from their appearance on computer or phone screens.
- Different polyester fabrics may produce variations in color, brightness, and saturation.
- White ink is not printed. White or transparent areas in your design normally reveal the underlying fabric color.
For color-critical projects, we recommend ordering a physical sample before full production.
Printing, Cutting & Sewing Expectations
Youth shirts are printed on polyester fabric before the individual garment panels are cut and sewn together.
Because each garment is assembled from separate printed panels:
- Perfect pattern alignment across seams cannot be guaranteed.
- Small artwork placement variations may occur.
- Graphics outside the designated safe area may be trimmed or partially obscured.
- Detailed lettering, faces, or critical logos should not be positioned directly across seams.
Continuous backgrounds, gradients, and repeating patterns are generally better suited for designs extending across multiple garment panels.
Digital Proof & Artwork Approval
Customers supplying print-ready artwork may request a digital proof before production.
Orders requiring artwork extraction or custom design include a digital artwork preview for approval.
When no proof is requested for print-ready artwork, the submitted files may be printed as provided.
A digital proof shows the proposed artwork arrangement but does not guarantee exact printed colors or perfect alignment across garment seams.
Artwork changes and approval delays may affect production time.

Orders must be placed, paid for, and submitted with production-ready artwork before the applicable cutoff.

If the selected fabric becomes unavailable, XpressColor will contact the customer for approval before any material substitution.
